Risk Technology Advisor
Rigved Joshi is a Risk Technology Advisor for Disciplina Advisors and oversees the commercialization effort for Disciplina’s proprietary risk solution. With over 12+ years of hands-on transaction experience in valuation methodologies, product development, start-up advisory, corporate development, due diligence, financial modeling, venture capital / private equity and technology management, he has a proven track record of successful leadership in delivering strategy and solutions with positive impact to bottom-line.
Previously, he served as Manager – New Ventures at Vanderbilt University where he led valuation of Vanderbilt’s IP portfolio in Digital Health, Healthcare IT, Diagnostics, Engineering, Software and Information Technology. Results include the commercialization of 13 technologies to industry. Due diligence and valuation led to 68 spin off opportunities resulting in the formation of 22 start-ups raising over $7M in early-stage venture and research funding. He served as a Mentor at The Nashville Entrepreneurship Center and JumpStart Foundry and an Advisory Board Member at NueCura Partners, a Nashville-based angel investment company that focuses on investments in early-stage companies in the healthcare sector.
Prior to Vanderbilt, Rigved held leadership roles at International Innovative Investments, a Los Angeles based venture / angel fund focused on e-media, Internet, software and health-care related businesses, and Duke Equity, a private equity firm investing in emerging markets with presence in Los Angeles, Dubai and India. Rigved received his MBA from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, NC and bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, India.
